What    is    it    About?

The Little Mermaid (1989) tells the story of Ariel, a headstrong 16 year old mermaid who wishes she was a human. She falls in love with Prince Eric, and in exchange for her beautiful voice, the sea witch Ursula makes Ariel human. Ariel's friends from the sea, the shy cute Flounder and the Reggae-singing Sebastian the crab, manage to provide some entertainment with their crazy way. But all ends well, and evil Ursula is defeated, and Prince Eric and Ariel live happily ever after.

Did you know...

The names of King Triton's daughters are (in order):Aquata, Andrina, Arista, Atina, Adella, Allana and (of course)Ariel.

Disney's Ariel was based on young actress/model Sherri Stoner.

The voice of Disney's Ariel was done by Jodi Benson.

The Little Mermaid was the last of Disney's pictures where the drawings were coloured in by hand... after it they went high tech and started using computers for the colouring.

She's    at    it    again...

This is one of my favourite scenes in the movie. That flounder!
